Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM) continues to lead the way in fostering academic-industry collaborations and skill development. In a significant milestone, BVM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Skyyskill Academy Pvt. Ltd. to provide comprehensive training to faculty members and students in the cutting-edge fields of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Renewable Energy. This collaboration aims to strengthen industry-institute interaction and spearhead initiatives in research and development.

The signing ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. Himanshu Panda, CEO of Skyyskill Academy; Er. Bhikhubhai Patel, Chairman of Charutar Vidya Mandal; Dr. Indrajit Patel, Principal of BVM; Dr. Rashesh Mehta, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at BVM; and members of the Board of Governors of BVM.

A Leap Forward: Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicles

The collaboration has led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Electric Vehicles at the Electrical Engineering Department. This ambitious project has been made possible by the generous donation of Mr. Snehal Shah, an esteemed alumnus of BVM (Electrical Engineering, Class of 1991). Additionally, Skyyskill Academy has provided cutting-edge equipment to equip the CoE, enabling hands-on learning and advanced research in EV technologies.

Joint Activities for Skill Development

The CoE will serve as a hub for conducting ASDC-certified courses, aimed at equipping students and professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the burgeoning EV sector. The facility will also host workshops, training programs, and collaborative projects that bridge the gap between academia and industry. Faculty members and students will gain valuable exposure to emerging technologies and best practices in the fields of Electric Vehicles and Renewable Energy.

Envisioning the Future

This collaboration exemplifies BVM’s commitment to nurturing innovation and aligning academic programs with industry demands. By empowering students with future-ready skills, fostering interdisciplinary research, and promoting sustainable technologies, BVM is paving the way for a brighter, greener tomorrow.

The Centre of Excellence for Electric Vehicles is not only a testament to BVM’s legacy but also a cornerstone for building a sustainable future through education, innovation, and collaboration.
